Does anyone know where they sell [new/rebuilt] high performance distributors for the 2.8?

If you find one let us know. The only ones I have seen are stock rebuilds. If you are doing a carbed V6 engine you can get a high performance distributor from an S-10.

Its not hard to rebuild a stock one yourself to high performance specs...there are some pretty good directions on http://www.thirdgen.org. The main culprit on the stockers is usually excessive endplay, which is easily fixed with a shim kit from Moroso. The 2.8 dist that I rebuilt had over .030 endplay, more than twice the recommended spec.
