I am trying a new cap and rotor on my car and i can't seem to get the rotor off, is there a trick to it?

it is a 86 v6 2.8

They can be hard to remove sometimes. Just pull hard straight up, while you try to wiggle it around, it should come off eventually. Maybe you can rig some sort of puller to get it off also.
