Well just like the thread title says... i dont know what is causing it?? if i pull the ebrake a couple times or move the car i can get it to pop???

May be obvious to everyone else, but I thought I had an intermitant trunk release till I realized it would not function if the engine was running.

Nope... thanx though. I went and got my hands dirty and realized it was the striker bolt to the trunk. the trunk was loose and bobling up and down... lol... it works now anyways... but if it stops again i will let you guys know...

PS if the engine is running you have to pull the ebrake to make the trunk pop... safety first i guess...

That striker bolt is the way it gets its ground. ( not worth 15 cents). The best way is to pull a extra ground up to the latch and your trouble is over.
