Hi IAC idle air control valve is roughly a stepper type motor or seleniod that the ECM
controls to provide more or less air as needed thru a passage biult into the throttle body, after a while carbon biuld can clog the conical pintle. it is on the oppsite side if the throttle cable, very easy to get out screws in abd has one oring seal thing just unplug carefully unscrew out out and flush out with throttle body cleaner, not carb cleaner!!!? to rset it unplug batt 30 sec and restart car go for short drive so computer can relearn or reset itself
this all siad use maanual for more precise procedure
good luck
