I'm getting ready to swap out my broken 2.8 (piston slapping)with another one I picked up on the cheap from a Fiero that was totaled in a front end collision.
The problem is that I need to crank the replacment motor by hand to make sure it is not frozen up from sitting so long. When I bought the motor, the previous owner had removed the front pulley and harmonic balancer. I removed the spark plugs last night and sprayed some PB Blaster into each cylinder to loosen up the rings but what size bolt do I need do for the front of the crank?

Thanks

Just finished installing a new balancer on my 2.8. The bolt you need is an M12 x 1.5 pitch. I assume you just want a bolt to turn it over with. If you need the exact length let me know and I'll measure one for you. Btw 1.5 pitch on an M12 bolt is not all that common, you may have to go to a specialty bolt seller.

Thanks David and a + for you.
I don't need the length as I plan to use the one on the old motor.
