What are some ways to complete a do it yourself headlight allignment... how far away do i park from a wall and what height should the light beams be at that distance?

Thanks!

In my cave. link at top of page.

The aim at the wall method is pretty useless. Beyond very gross adjusments you won't get even close to correct most of the time.

The method in my cave is about as close as you can get without access to profesional equipment.

<G> Just bring them up and centered until other drivers get mad and start flashing you, a few notches down and inward and you're all set.... or if you like having other cars flash you (can be brutal that close to the ground), leave it as is and drive with your highbeams on all the time.

LOL. Reminds me of my old Tiger. I used to run GE 'aircraft landing lights' bought from JC Whitney. They were 100k candle power each and would light up the road for at least a quarter mile in front of the car. One night an MG driver was approaching me and he wouldn't turn off his 40K Lucas 'pencil beam' lights when I flashed him with my high beams. After two unsucessful blips, I turned on my driving lights. He quickly not only turned off his driving lights but his headlights as well.

Thanks Ogre!

I knew those tabs were for adjustment, but never knew how to do a DIY job. I'm going to try it out.

BTW... I haven't been in the cave in a while. I like the menu system.
