i just rebuilt my iron duke.....turns out that i had a siezed intake valve on #4....

it was prolly caused by overheating, since the oil smelled BAD, and the thermostat housing was warped. it never used to idle, so i took out the IAC and it was siezed, so i got a new one of those too....

now it idles liek a charm, but i hooked the scan tool up to it to check everything...

i noticed that the IAC count was at 000, so i thought i had a vacumn leak(may of caused overheat), but i had NO vacumn leak anywhere(replaced hoses for security) this engine also pulls 22inches/mg at 950RPM, which i've been told is very good for a 4 cylinder...

but they also told me the IAC count should be closer to 100 than to 000

do i just have to recalibrate it or something?

Jumper the ALDL connector (or use one of those $20 scan tools), let it sit for a while, and disconnect the battery for 30 seconds... remove your jumper, and reconnect the battery. That should move the IAC back to it's parked position. Not sure what it'll do for your readings, but worth a shot I guess...

I probably wouldn't worry about it then... It's probably nothing. I'd focus more on the windshield...
