I was looking through the car and came across a small square 6 wire plug under the arm rest part of the support piece on the center consol. Its just taped off. and facing foward. Is this cruise control wiring?

The cruise module is located behind the carpet on the drivers side center console along a line about even with the bottom seat cushion and about halfway between the gas pedal and the seat. Sounds like it. I thought all the Formulas came with cruise.......Paul

That plug under the console sounds familiar. I parted out a Formula that had cruise. Seems like the cable that went to the module plugged into the connector that you mentioned.

Well, the only other connector I can think of in the location you state that would even HAVE 6 wires is the ALCL (assembly line communication link) connector, but it isn't square, it's rectangular... right next to the cigarette lighter. It's about .75" x 1.5". If I remember right, two connectors on the bottom, 4 on the top.
Nor can I imagine why it would be taped off; it's a computer port for OBD-I (on-board diagnostics generation 1)and nothing is plugged into it normally.
