Can anyone tell me what the TCC brake switch wire does and where i need to hook it up to?

My engine still does not run for longer than 3 seconds and i had the computer reprogramed with the VATS deleted. I am going over all the wiring again to see if i missed something. Does anyone have any ideas on why my engine still stalls?

The TCC brake switch wire will not cause your engine stall, it is for torque converter lock up for an automatic transmission. I you have a stick now you do not need it.

Start and stall after a few seconds sounds like you VATS, or maybe a fuel pump wiring concern. Does your fuel pump stay running, fuel pressure. Do the injectors stop firing?

I to had the same problem. My donor had the PASSKEY III. The only solution was to install the ignition switch from the donor car. I by passed the fuel pump and used the fiero relay. The computer shuts down the injector pulse. Hope this helps. John

It is not the VATS becuase as i previously stated, i had the VATS removed by Dave Buckshaw (DHP). He removed the VATS, changed gear ration to 3.73 and did some performance tuning. I checked the fuel pressure a few months ago and it was 52 when the fuel pump primed and 42 when the engine started. The fuel injectors seem to be staying on. I am going to rent a check light from autozone tomorrow.

I have an automatic, so do i need to hook the TCC wire up to the brake light wire?

I went thru the exact same thing with my conversion. After reading the service manual and talking with a couple of members I installed the ign. module and it fired and ran. I can't help you with the TCC wire as mine is stick. Good luck, John

By the by, did you use the fuel pump from the donor? These pumps have a higher rating due to the boost. The pressures you list are the same as I have. The pressure will rise during throttle opening. I recall looking for someone to eliminate my PASSKEY III and no one would touch it. First you need to find a tech that knows tech2 usually a dealer, and they won't touch it because of liability reasons. I called all over the country and no one could handle it. Good luck, John
