My service engine light only comes on when I'm traveling on the freeway keeping a constant speed around 70. When I shut it off then start it up later the light doesn't come on until freeway driving again. It also doesn't come on while doing stop and go type driving. I know I can look the code up, but the problem is the car 5 hours away and only make it up about once a month to drive/work on it. If possible I'd like to buy the parts so I can get it fixed next time I head up there. Oh, it's a stock V6, 5 speed if that helps.

To pull the codes you remove the black plastic thing around the lighter. That is where the ALDL connector is. Here is the link for getting them and understanding them. https://www.fiero.nl/cgi-bin/main.cgi?ECMCodes

I noticed the same thing on myn. My car is a 85 SE with a V6 and 4 speed manual. I found it doesnt come on at a specific time or speed but it mostly comes on after about 10min of 75mph. I havent had a chance to check out the code yet either.

I'd vote code 32 also. Anything is gonna be a guess, but 32 usually occurs about these speeds. Good luck!
