Problem started when my temp gauge stopped working. Replaced gauge sensor in engine. Gauge sort of started working, did the gauge peg fix and reset it to zero on ignition. Car used to stay cool(around 160). Now its very sporadic. I drive it around 150-200 miles per day on interstate. It will stay cool one day and then start heating up the next(around 200-220). The fan now only works with the AC. I have burped and reburped the car. No air ever present. Now I'm getting a 32 error code from the solenoid I'm quessing from refilling the thermostate so much. Water must have gotten down in there. Also getting a 33 error code. On a cold start car will idle rough and then run for about 3-5 min and then die. I have the thermostate out again and it still starts to heat up and the fan doesn't ever come on(I have replaced that sensor as well). I'm about to loose it this has been going on for a month now. I have checked all connections at dash and cleaned the connections.

Any body have something else to offer besides burping the car. Or another thing to check where air could be trapped. I've looked at the pipes as well and all look good.

Thanks... any suggestions I'll take.

An old fan can run intermitently or not at all.Ide replace it.Improper timeing can cause it to over heat or the wrong gap setting in the spark plugs.A stuck thermistat can also cause it to over heat (test in a pan of boiling water it should pop open)Check your oil and Transmission (automatic)fluid levels.
