Depends on the year. I think that 84-87 are t-47 but I've squeezed in a T-50. I think that the 88's are T-55.

Thanks. Where should I buy one in a bind at 9 o pm? The closest I have are 40 and one that's probably 55 or 60.

Does anyone know what other kind I may be able to get so I can use a normal socket. I just hate torx.

all caliper bolts are either torx or allen, both suck, you'll have to live with it....

why? its not like a guy takes his brakes apart weekley, God i hope not!!

just make sure the torx has a exchangeable warranty so when you break it on 1 caliper, you can go exchange it to do the other side

Got a torx set that goes up to 60 at Advanced Auto Parts for $15. It has a 3/8" adapter that comes with it.

FYI: Keep the 50 around for the seat belt holder.

For whatever reason you hate them... Torx are the better choice for that bolt.

Torx will take far more load than allen or most hex heads and not strip.

The key is buying very good Torx bits. Cheap bits often break/strip before the bolt will.

An item often over looked... clean out the hole before trying to loosen them. You want the bit ti seat full depth f the hole.

I've been using the same T-50 torx bit I bought for seatbelts and brakes for a decade. Even use it with a 1/2 drive handle most of the time. It's a sears one I think.
