Well I was able to find it. Its listed as a TSU107(Temperature switch) at advanced auto. Cost $10.63.... Now my only delima is that it didn't fix my issue. I broke the connector taking the old one off. Looks like it had been removed previously. Anyway I can't tell which wire went where? One green, the other green with yellow stripe. Does it matter? I've tried it both ways and my gauge just pegs far right and then left and never moves. If its the gauge what do I need to look for???? Need my car tomorrow for long trip.

There are actually two sensors in that thing. One is a switch for the idiot light and the other is a variable resistor for the guage. Both wires have 12 volts looking for a ground, so no damage is done. If you have it hooked up backwards, the gauge will go full right when you turn the key on and full left when you start. Just reverse the wires and everything will be fine. You still may not have a working guage, because it may not have been the sensor. A search will bring up a lot of information.

yes, there are 2 coolant temp sensors, 1 for the guage which is near the dist., and 1 for the ECM, which is on the intake manifold, near the pulleys. There are also 2 temp switches, which are both on top of the intake manifold, near the thermostat housing, 1 for the Cold Start Injector, 1 for the Radiator Fan. theres also the Air Temp Sensor, which is on the air filter housing.
anyways, it sounds like your trying to get you guage working? thats the sensor by the dist. cap, and yes, the polarity matters.
