I need to try something on my car and I have an L4 88 starter. Do you know for certain if it will fit or not? For my problem see this thread. https://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum2/HTML/033095.html

Acording to Auto Zone's computer, the 4 and the 6 cyl use the same starter.

They will interchange. I believe that the V6 startewr has more torque. From my understanding the staters are sotra like the auto trannies, the same but the v 6 is a little heavier duty.

I smoked a 4cyl starter on a V6. I wouldn't recommend it, but if some have made it work, then I guess its worth a shot for a short time at least.
