I just installed a Monsoon UP3 radio I got from Kru and thought I'd pass along something I found out. I've read a lot of posts where people say you have to knock out the metal triangular bracket in the back of the dash opening for the radio to fit. Well, maybe not. If you look closely at the radio, the black alignment peg that is sticking off the back of the radio should fit into that bracket to stabilize the radio; however, if it doesn't fit - it simply unscrews off the back of the radio! No need to break anything.

Just thought I'd pass that along. Oh, yeah, and MONSOON ROCKS!!

You are totally correct. I have one of the radios too and the radio is much to heavy to rely on the front brackets for support! The rear support is there for a reason, both the factory and the updated radio are the same size, there is no need to remove anything. It is a little bulky because of the adapter conectore, but they will tuck off to the left side easily if you reach up from the back and pull them out of the way.
