Noticed that the parts places list two different numbers for heater cores, one for cars with A/C and one for cars without. No illustrations. Does anyone know what the difference is between the two? Are they interchangeable?

The AC model has longer tubes sticking through the firewall for the hoses.

So a heater core for a A/C car will work fine in a non A/C car but the other way around you may run into a problem getting to the hoses to connect them. Does that sound right?

Not sure on the differences between the two heater cores, but I DO know that with a NON A/C car, you take the heater core out from underneath the hood. In an A/C car, the heater core comes out from inside the car. I'm sure that has something to do with the differences between the two cores.
