Ok here is what I have, 85GT fiero, stroked to a 3.1 with, headers, cam, roller rockers, accell ignition, adj fuel pressure regulator, ram air, and filter. Car has been changed to a 5 sp.
I am getting hesitation, almost like dying ignition. Power seems almost intermitant. I have no codes. Could these mods be to much for the stock ecm? The computer has never been changed, and as far as I know, is still from a 4 sp car. If it does need to be reprogrammed do you know anyone who could do it?

It is difficult to say whether your problem stems from the ECM losing control or the problem is attributatble to other factors. The timing and fueling requirements of the 3.1L are different than the 2.8L and it is safe to say that with radical mods a chip reprogram is usually necessary.
The stock ECM program does not control engines that have cams with excessive duration very well. These cams cause much lower manifold vacuum that throws the MAP reading up higher than where it should be. As a result too much fuel is dumped in.

Ok, I *think my cam specs are as follows, 420 lift, 280 duration @ 50 deg.
This means nothing to me, I am also running 1.5 roller rockers.
Is this still within computer specs or should I reprogram?

I would almost guarantee you that "reprogramming" the computer will not fix your problem, unless you have a bad computer to start with. You need to look at the sensor values when the problem is occurring. So you need to use the Winaldl program and a laptop or a scanner.

I highly suspect that you have a fuel problem. Sounds like it's starving for fuel to me. Good luck!

Phils has made a good point. Just to remove this possibility, attach a fuel pressure gauge to the schrader valve fitting on the fuel rail and see what it says. If it is much below 35-40 psi at idle and 43-45 psi at road load then your engine is starving for fuel.
