Car is dead! No power AT all. Not sure what happened. I wasn't the one driving the car.

HELP! Any ideas welcome!

Start by checking the battery and the fusible links, then go to the fuses. It could be as simple as a dead battery, a bad battery connection, or a burnt out fuse or fusible link.

car is dead.... this is a large set of options. first you need to find if there is power comeing from the battery. have you tryed to give it a jump? may need a little more info here on this one.

Yup, first make sure the battery is okay. Check the connections at the battery. Then check the red wires where they attach to the terminal lugs, next to the battery. Check all the splices, too. I've had a bad connection at one of those wires, where it connects to the car harness. Killed the car dead as a stone. In a very unpleasant neighborhood, I might add.

Yeah, tried jump starting it. No deal.

Turns out it was the battery. Once we found some tools, we put my coworkers battery in my car and it worked.

All is well. Well, will be as soon as I get a new battery
