Today, whenever I engaged the clutch on my Fiero it made a kind of metal on metal screeching sound. It only did it when I was going relatively slow, and as long as I sped up, it didn't last very long. The clutch, T/O bearing, and pressure plate are all one week old, and the tranny was rebuilt last week too. What do you think?

Well, first of all, if you don't have the clutch alignment tool, it wouldn't even go on right anyways. So, yes I did use it.

Secondly, as stated above the clutch, throw-out bearing (T/0), and pressureplate are all brand new.
Thanks

It SOUNDS like your throwout bearing is trying to freeze up which would make that noise.

My car will also squeal sometimes as I take off slowly. I'm not really sure what causes it. It didn't start making the noise until after a few thousand miles. Do you hear any rattling with the car in neutral and your foot off the clutch pedal? Maybe input shaft bearings? I hope someone knows. I'm a bit curious myself.

Edit: I forgot to mention that I also replaced the throwout bearing and it did not help.
