Usually in the cold snowy morning I go outside and start my car. Then go clean the ice and snow off. I jump back in my car every thirty seconds to give it some gas so it won't die. However this morning I decided to clean the ise and snow of first then start the car so I wouldn't have to keep jumping back. After about 5 minutes of cleaning snow and scraping ice (and losing all the feeling in my fingers) I try to start my car. Nothing happens not even a click. However my radio and lights worked perfectly fine.

I don't think that it is the starter because I just had it replaced about a month ago. Is it possible that the starter could freeze?

Any help would be great.

Thanks
Mike

You might have a corroded battery connection or a dead battery. Try getting a jump start and have your car's charging system and battery checked.

If it was the battery then the radio, lights, HVAC wouldn't work either. All of these things did work.

in the case of a dead battery, true. but loose/corroded cables would have this effect, enough juice getting therough to power accessories but not the starter. check your connections to the solenoid and starter.

The starter motor requires a substancial amount of power to turn it over. If you have a weak or bad battery, your accesories and lights might still work, as they require substancially less power to run. Also, as I stated above, this could be caused by bad battery cables or connections. If you don't have the equipment or knowledge to check these, I suggest you get a jumpstart and head to your nearest service station to get these items checked out.
