I need the temp sensor in the block below the thermo housing and above the waterpump. Not the one next to the cold start switch. Advance Auto didn't have it. They only listed two, but I need the third. do you have any idea what the name of this one is or where to get it?

Ok....sounds like the coolant fan switch to me....has a green/white wire going to it. The other one is for the computer and called the coolant sensor. It has a brown wire and a yellow wire going to it. It has to be one of those. Good luck!

sounds like you are talking about the ECM temp switch the one above the water pump pointing toward the right rear wheel.

The new GM updated part# for the ECM coolant sensor for V-6 is: 12146312

When you take the old one out you will see that the sensor screws into a nut that in turn screws into the block. You will need this nut, to scew you new sensor into, before you put the whole thing back into the block.
