Hi guys. I am sad to say this but I will be selling my fiero. I have a 1987 coupe 4cyl auto. Ive owned it since May. I put brand new brakes, brand new tires, new battery, new alternator, and will have new dark red paint before its sold. Its got 67,000 miles on it, exterior is great, interior is good has minor headliner sag seats have a couple burnt holes in it. How Much should I sell it for? Should I stick it in the paper or on autotrader? I live 10 miles outside of Detroit, if anyone is intrested let me know.

The market for Fieros right now is pretty slow. I'd say the absolute most upper level extreme estimate for your car is $2000. $1300-1500 is more realistic.

I bought my 87 coupe for $150 (about the same condition as yours). $500 is pretty much the going rate. I would not spend to much fixing it up, if your not going to keep it.

I just sold an 85 plain jane coope with some paint problems for $1000. And it had 115000 on the body. It did run and drive real good though.

some like the 4s, but thats whats gonna kill the price. A couple grand for a V6 would have been closer.

I believe that a quick trip to the library would settle this. Pull out the most current NADA price guide for "older used cars" and look your vehicle up.

That price should be very close to what is achievable - unless you have a *very* pristine car....and there are simply not very many of those left.

Ebay or Autotrader is probably the best way to reach a target audience. Local buyers are unlikely to take your offering very seriously - given its age.

Selling any used car is a product of supply and demand. Right now there seems to be little demand for Fieros.
I've bought three 87GT's for between $1500-$2300 in more than decent shape with 60-80K miles on the OD. If a fastback is in excellent shape then the price may be $500-$1500 higher.
Unfortunately, the market for 2M4's is very weak. I can buy them any day for $300-$700 as the collector demand for them is practically nil. The price guide may disagree with what I say but book prices and reality are sometimes very far apart.
