i am in the process of puting together my 2.8 after it has been bored .30 over and i have added forged pistons i was wondering if anyone has suggestions on how big a cam i ahould used and wanted to know what some of the 2.8 boys have done to their motors? also i have been think about NOS any input on that?

dude i just did mine i have zero balanced bloc drop forged pistons zero balanced flywheel and harmonic balancer,high flow oil pump ,heads done by ,KIRSHAW RACING PERFORMANCE, motor swap and install done by LAKE PERFORMANCE RACING . I HAVE NITROUS CAM FOR SALE FOR ONE HUNDRED CANADIAN BUYER TO PAY SHIP , you can ask capt fiero he knows my motor . by the way i went 40 thou over bore

what are the specs on your cam? did you just buy your heads or have them redone? what would shipping be to anchorage alaska? let me know

ported heads & intakes - very important to any Fiero 2.8 thru 3.4 build-up. the 2.8 intake is perfect for the factory motor, but thats it. any cam changes, stroke changes, bore changes all make it need more flow. let that b!tch breathe!

If you don't want to run into too many problems, I would suggest that you don't go to a bigger cam than something like the Crane Cams 2030. This cam is compatible with your stock ECM and offers some improvements over the stock cam.

I have to disagree here! I have a cam in my 3.2L thats bigger than the 2030 cam, and my car works GREAT! I also have the 1.6 roller rockers. I'll try to dig up the specs on my cam for you!

The Crane PowerMax H-260-2 or the next one up is good if you have high enough compression.

Look at GMPARTSDIRECT.com ..... Cam part # - 12364059------ Check the specs ---- not to crazy for the ecm .
