A local Fiero owner here (Norm Knoll) made a simple hand tool to put the springs for the exhaust system on and off and it works quite well. I am wondering if it is a tool I can make and sell. I could probably make and sell them for about $15 each. Looking for some input before I make a batch.

This is the end of the tool to grab the springs.

It seems like a good idea, but I don't know how good it would sell. When I did mine I just used some thin vice grips I have and they worked pretty good.

I could definatly use one of these! I think there already are spring expanders out there (mostly for drum brakes), but I just havent come across one. I left 2 springs off my exhaust cuz I couldnt get the little %$#@in spring hooked on there.

I would be interested in such a tool. I hate to fight springs - just when you think you have one defeated, it always seems to bounce back .

Bet that joke made you recoil. Seriously, though, I would be interested in the tool.
