I lost the pushrod to the clutch slave cylinder of my '88 Formula (V6)
and need to know the length of it so I can fabricate a new one. I
have a push rod from a 4 cyl and it appears to be too long. Anyone
know what the correct length is for a 6 cyl?

It should be around 7/8 to 15/16 of an inch long for a getrag muncie 5spd.

I think he means the actual rod length...lol. I have a spare from an 86 GT (4spd) that I will run down and measure real quick.

Edit: I seemed to have thrown it out a few days ago...but it was only like 4" or around there. Sorry thats all I remember.

Nobody has a V6 they can measure the rod on for me? My car has been laid up for over a year and this is all that's lacking to get it going again!

I have a few spare getrag slaves at the shop, i will get some measurements today.

88 Formula clutch slave pushrod is 3.5". Don't have a mic. but looks to be exactly this.

Yep, I measured exactly 3.5" on the Getrag slave rod.

I was just gonna say that I remember it being 3.5"........lol.....just strange trivia like ........
