also for some good info and designing boosted systems read 'MAXIMUM BOOST' (turbos) and 'SUPERCHARGING' from Bentley Publishers, (800) 423-4595 or on http://www.bentleypublishers.com
great info for how to set them up or build from scratch.

This is the one I want for my Stinger. A friend has one on his TPI engine and swears by it. I'm just concerned that the LT1 has like a 10.4/1 CR and that might be a little high for a supercharger.
I'm going to try the SPEC clutch in mine and see if I can tear it up.
Crazy Dave has the SPEC in his car and he drives like ..... like .... like .....well he drives like he's Crazy!!!!

One of the guys in my corvette club put one in his 96 with stock automatic. I would imagine for street, OEM must be fine since they say nothing about changing it. Im sure something else would be advisable for higher hp options. Arnt there plenty of chevys running around with that much anyway? Another guy in the clubs got a 64 or 65 with 375 hp 327, and a few with 427s and they all have stock clutch and muncies.
http://www.ProCharger.com some very interesting info in their website too that pertains to boosting in general. I didnt know for example that carbed engines can take quite a bit more boost than TPI engines. In fact according to them, carbed engine can safely run up to 14 pnds on pump gas, where 5 is recommended for FI.

The LITTLE 2-disc 7.25" one will handle 750lb-ft, any questions?
Best! Ben.
PS: the 3-plate 7.25" is rated at 1,150lb-ft. No typo.
Archie: You should be able to run some mild boost, just a few PSI, and kick the Stinger up to the reliable 450-475hp mark.

Well, a guy in my Corvette club put one in his '94 with auto (4L60E) and promptly toasted his trans. Blowers are not for the faint of heart, or the faint of transmission. The LT1 F-body & Corvette guys I know are running 5-7psi boost on stock compression and seem to be mostly okay. The weak point is the pistons, apparently even the 2-bolt f-body bottom end is pretty sturdy.
I think the SPEC in my car could comfortably handle 450-475 ft-lbs, especially the new 6-puck version of it.
