When I bought my car it had some bumper damage and when I went to raise the hood the bolt that is in the center of the bumper caught on it and took a godge out of the hood, it looks to be fiberglass but I could be wrong, any ideas and if so what to use to fix.

On the aero fascia the nose is plastic, the hood is fiberglass.

The hood, along with the roof, rear clip, and decklid, are all SMC (sheet molded compound). There's a 3M two-part kit (blue tube, white tube) for small repairs like that. The part # is 5883 and the box is white and purple. It's a little pricey, but works good.

I got mine at O'Reilly, but any parts store should have it.

Hey Squoach , you just helped me out also . I changed the front fascia on my 85 Sport Coupe . The first time I opened the hood I put three good sized chips into the nose of my hood . Thanks for the info . Gave you a positive rateing .

Hey, glad I can help. Thanks for the rating
There's also a can of adhesion promoter you're suppose to get to help the epoxy stuff stick better. I haven't used it with no problems, but you might want to check into it. I'm thinking about buying a can today anyway. I've had a few places where this stuff peeled off.
