Who has installed Rodney Dickman's Passenger Side Bushing for the 88 Rack and Pinion? Is this a difficult job? What special skills / tools are required, if any?

I'd appreciate any feedback. Anybody?

Larry

I checked mine and I have to replace mine also. Is it rather simple?

I have replaced mine on the formula. It is not to hard a job if you are somewhat mechanically inclined. He has instruction and diagram included and a pic of the correct way to install it on his website. Do not install it backwards! I would suggest replacing the inner tierod and possibly the ball joint also since you will have to remove it for the install. Mostly common hand tools used, need a tool to break loose the ball joint (I bought the onefrom Rodney and it works fine) , and a drill that will let you get in a tight place to drill holes for the rivets used to hold in the new bushing (unless you are willing to remove the entire rack) I drilled mine in place by just taking the rack loose so I could move it around somewhat for more clearance and used a dremel tool with a drill bit. It would be good to have a service manual if you are not to familiar with front end work to help in disassembly.
Good luck.
