I am fairly new to fieros. I just bought an 87 SE V6 about a month ago along with a great deal of problems. I have totally fallen in love with the car and refuse to sell it(im going to be buried in it). about 2 days ago it overheated. i checked the coolant level in the radiator and it was fine which led me to believe the water pump was bad. after changing the pump, the car is still overheating and it seems the coolant isnt circulating out of the engine block therefore evaporating.

somebody help!!!!!!!!!!

Click on the link at the bottom of the page for Ogre's Cave. There is a procedure on how to fill the cooling system. You probably have air trapped in the system. It probably just needs to be "burped".

Your thermostat might be stuck closed. That would definately cause an overheat. Check it out.

As mentioned above, make sure you follow the procedure to "burp" the system. You can remove the thermostat in about 2 minutes if you suspect that's the problem. Also look at the coolant tubes under the rocker panels. It's pretty common for someone to run over a curb and smash them flat or kink them. Make sure there's no kinks in any of the hoses.
