On my '85 Duke engine ,the oil dip stick is Foward of the engine block toward the firewall. Am I wrong in thinking that my car hasn't had all the recalls complied with? Seems to me, I've seen Duke engines with the dip stick to the rear of the block(toward the trunk). I could be dead wrong on this. What's the scoop?

It does sound like one of the recalls hasn't been done. One of them moved the dipstick to a position near the l/h end of the valve cover (above the transaxle) and added some heat shielding between the exhaust manifold and the block. It may have also replaced the exhaust manifold.
