Found this on a Corsica site talking about the 2.8 motors we love & hate

I tried this today to mine and it fixed my crappy idling that I had the past little while.

If your car idles bad, give this a try before replacing parts!

What is the idle relearn procedure?

Any time the computer loses power for more than a few seconds
(when you replace or disconnect your battery) you need to do an idle relearn.

Take your battery cable off for a few minutes to reset the computer again, then:

Start the car and let it idle until the radiator fan cycles on and off one time.
Turn the car off for 5 minutes.
Start the car again and let it idle until the fan cycles on and off one time.
Now the computer has relearned the idle.

If you have never done this before, and your idle is rough, it wouldn't be a bad idea to try this to see if it helps any.
