Right now my 88 Formula 3.4L has 1.52 roller rockers and I was wanting to upgrade to 1.6 rockers. I was going to try and locate some and buy them before next weekend at the track. Let me know what and where to buy them. Will going from the 1.52's to the 1.6's give me some performance? What kind of numbers are we looking at 5-10hp? Well let me know people that have gotten them before and will the 1.6's work well on my 3.4L? Thanks guys.

After reading over threads and threads about Cams and Rockers, is my setup with the Crane 2030 .423, .423 and the 1.52 comp cams rockers the way to go or is are the 1.6 rockers needed for more power? Is it worth the upgrade of spending that money for it? Let me know what kind of power increase if any there would be with the 1.6's. Thanks.

Your cam has .423/.423 lift @ 1.5
.428/.428 @ 1.52
.451/.451 @ 1.6

Basically you increase the lift of the cam just putting the rockers in, you'll have a little more power in the 3000-5000 rpm range.
Not sure of the actual gains. At a guess 1-3hp.

Oreif will the 1.6 rockers have any trouble with the valve covers and will be noisy? I don't want to lose the life of my valve train with bigger rockers. Let me know and where and what do I look for if I want to get a set. Thanks.

Everything in the valve-train will be stressed slightly more. You're compressing the valve-spring more, so there will be more tension on everything on the top-end. Just make sure there won't be coil-bind with the higher-lift rocker, and that piston to valve clearance is good, and there shouldn't be any problems. CompCams makes a 1.6 roller rocker for the engine, I can look-up part# if desired.

And Crane makes a true roller rocker to fit the 60* V-6 as well. Power gain will be small compared to price, but the full roller rocker will reduce friction and lower oil temp a tad. Plus there is less weight at the valve. I'd recommend a spring change (and so does crane) although it isn't mandatory.
