White "smoke" (water vapor) is often an indication of a cracked head or blown head gasket.

Greetings,
As a Manager of an auto service center I see this a lot. It is normaly like the Bat said you have a blown head gasket and/or a cracked head. The most common would be the head gasket. However if it ever overheated bad on you it could be the head is cracked.

Regards,

oh...its never overheated before...temp gauge never goes up too much...engine runs extremely warm in my opinion...but ive heard its because that year. i dont know. thanks for the help...how much would it cost to get it fixed? and would it hurt the car by taking it up to 6250 before shifting? the rev limiter is at 6700. ive hit it once before. whoops..

I fully agree......not much else it can be. Make sure it's not getting into the oil as well.

I've never heard any saying that a particular year had an engine cooling problem. They all have a cooling problem if the system isn't maintained well. One must deep in mind that the gauges in our cars are electric, not a mechanical link. So if your SURE that your gauges are accurate then trust your indications, if not one must question their accuracy.

6250 before shifting and hit 6700 once before? That old and slighty tired or over the hill tired engine won't last long, one day you may find yourself walking back from where you parked it (quiting time) to pick up the pieces!
