i just finished changing out my fan in my Indy,the fan came out of a 87 gt,when i brought it home i tested to see if it worked and it did,so then i proceded to install it in my Indy,well i hooked up the wires(2) and tried it out in the car,and nothing, i turn on the ac and still nothing, so my question to you is,did i miss something,what would not make the fan kick in? i need ideas please,thanks

Make sure the fan wires have current. check the fuses. could be the fan relay switch.

Sounds like the fan relay is not working . The fan should come on instantly once you turn on the AC . Check to make sure you've got a good ground to the fan . Check your fuses .

how do i check fan for good ground? i didn't see anything diff,i mean i just cut 2 wires spliced them together and it should of worked,is there a ground i should know of? also the relay on the left side looks more like a block then a relay,my 86gt relay looks diff then on the 84,i tried autozone, they didn't find one that looks like mine,where can i get one? thank AL.

I know the 84 had a 2 speed fan.....don't know if the fan is diff or not, but the fan switch is for sure.

yes that was me who took the fan,but anywys i made the fan work,i just needed to add an extra wire to ground it and it works perfectly,thanks guys.
