i have another post going about my slave cylinder.

but i wanted to ask how do i check if my clutch fork is bent. isn't it inside the bell houseing? or is it the arm that the slave pushes. the arm that the slave pushes isn't bent.

i though the clutch fork was what the TO bearing was attached to and is inside the bell houseing.

is it possible to check it for being bend with out taking the tranny out???

hey mike i am have a very similar problem right now with my 86SE. the peice that the slave presses againstis not the fork it is the clutch arm. The clucth fork is what the throut bearing is attached to i think! I dont know too much but i think that is right. hope it helps!

yep, cant see the fork unless the trannys out. There are 2 types. One is a welded up piece of crap made out of about 6 small parts welded together. They fall apart. Replace with a one piece cast/forged unit. Also required changing the shaft. Make sure you lube with quality waterproof grease. Once installed no way to get back to it with tranny in.
