I plan to change my TCC Solenoid on my 88 GT since it wasn't unlocking. When I went to disconnect the connector, the whole connector pulled through the transmission leaking fluid out. I am wondering if a new GM solenoid includes the bulkhead type connector that keeps the connector from pulling through? I know there is a connector on the end of the solenoid but is it the piece that actually connects to the wire harness connector outside the case or is there a intermediary connector between the two like a bulk-head connector where each end of the two connectors plugs in?

In other words, if I buy the new solenoid from GM, will it stay in the tranny housing or will it pull through like my old one did when I went to unplug the outside connector from the case?

Do I need to order an additional connector part from GM? IF so, what is the part number?

Thanks,
Bob

Thanks,

Does it install from inside or outside the case?

What is the part number?

Call the dealer for the part number. Maybe someone will look it up in their 22P. It's cheap enought that you should get it from a dealer and not GMPD. The S&H is likely more than the part.

Outside.

Thanks for the info. I have the 22P actually and I didn't see that part shown which is why I was so confused about it...
