I don't know about the 0-60 times, but I just took 1/4 mile timings on my almost stock 87 GT 5-speed. I have the 1.6-1 rockers in it. Here are the 4 runs:

1st: 16.798 sec @ 79.11 mph
2nd: 16.774 sec @ 79.71 mph
3rd: 16.657 sec @ 79.84 mph
4th: 16.715 sec @ 79.83 mph

Fairly consistent!

Man my 0-60 times are pretty poor compared to this. Of course I only have a stock 3.4 in there. (Yeah I should have changed the Cam, I know...).

Strange thing is, I get about the same times a around 3/4's throttle as WOT. I think some of it may be the 1st to 2nd shift, but I'm wondering if maybe it's not getting enough fuel. Any way of telling if that's the case?

I do plan to get that little gizo that Ed (I think it's Ed) sells once I have the cash, but are there any other things I should do?
(And not too major ones right now, can't afford to have the car off the road too much as it is a daily driver!).

I've got alot of the old magazines and almost all of them rate the brand new car at about 0-60 of 7.5 to 8.0 sec stock.

just took my stock 85 GT 4spd to the track last week for the first time and ran a 15.9 in the 1320. I've been driving my car for three years and it has 128000. First car I've ever raced at the track. Not that I'm being optimistic, but i honestly feel I could shave almost a half second with practicing better launches, a shorter shifter, and less fuel in the tank (3/4 full)and taking out my spare tire, jack, sub-box next time.

the tires are stock size firestone ss20's (215/60/14) inflated to 30 lbs. Thanks for reminding me about something i wanted to say in my original post, I loved how i was just redlining in 3rd when i crossed the finish line. my 60' was 2.085 and my mph at the 1/4 was 83.91. at 10.162 sec i crossed the 1/8 and i was going 67.23mph so i would guess my 0-60 time was just under that.
