last night I was showing my 86seV6 to a potential buyer, as I was showing the engine bay and spoke about the trunk release not working, I closed the lid Yeah, you guessed it, I left my only set of keys in the trunk part of the engine bay! So my question to you is. I dont suppose there is a emergency latch to open it or any other way to open it without a key or switch? I started looking for the relay this morning and I think I found. Under the dash on the right side, five prongs on it. Is that it?
Also I checked all the fuses they all look fine, which one is exactly? Hopefully someone out there can help me on this.

Thanks,
RIO.

Hi there, I found that the #17 fuse (20 AMP) (lower right hand corner) is the one for the rear compartment lid release (86-88 models).

I did the same thing last year. If you still have the original # lock cylinder in the car, a lock smith can cut you one. We used the VIN for the reference in a GM database they have for stupid people like ourselves. By the way, that key cost $35.00 for him to make it at my car!

Trunk Relay has three terminal. Emergency access is covered in my cave. This depends on having a good electric latch...
