Any good sources for the Driveline Absorber other than the Fiero Store, I can't seem to find it on Parts America, AutoZone, etc. Any break in price from the Fiero Store would be great! Oh, almost forgot, 86 V6, Thanks guys!

Never found one anywhere else, unfortunately. You might have to bite the bullet like I did.

We are talking about the mini shock absorber on the back side of the engine. (I hope)

Well I have never had one of those go bad on me, but I have manged to break 3 of the mounts in less than a year. It is that damn steel mount at the bottom 3 bolts into the cradle and 1 through the shock. I have replaced all of my engine and tranny mounts, even have a poly dogbone, but I still manage to keep snapping that shock. Has anyone found a better lower bracket for it.

The shock doesn't go bad but the bushings do. Head for the store and look at the poly bushings. I found a set that fit in there and worked with the sleeve. You should used some glue to hold the two halfs in the tube.

A working dampener does wonders for the feel of the car.

Also, lots of 82-83 A cars (Ciera, Century) with the 3.0L used them. Sometimes you can find some with usable bushings.

One I opened was a spring and not a shock but it wasn't from a Fiero. Some other GM car. Not an A body I don't think.

Rodney should make some replacements with high durameter rubber (poly sucks).

Wonder why something similar to the dogbone would not work to replace the driveline absorber. Doesn't seem that it would need anymore movement than any of the other mounts? Just a thought........ Will look at the piece while when I pull the cradle, was looking for one just to put a new one in, not sure the one thats in it now is really bad. I was just wanting to go new with everything at one time, you know do it once and be done for the forseeable future! Like that will ever happen (LOL)!

Mine broke the weld that held the loop of metal the bushing sits in together. I'd weld it together if I'd known that there wasn't any hydraulic fliud in there.
If I weld it back to gether, I'll just replace the bushing by welding some washers to the loop of metal. That way I shouldn't have to worry about the bushing or the loop anymore. If it is hydraulic, i'll just make a solid replacement. If i have it to do over (I just replaced most of the mounts) I'd just solid mount the motor so I wouldn't have to worry about it flopping around anymore.
