Well, the subject pretty much says it. My radio stations and clock are reset whenever I turn my car off. I don't think it's the alternator, because then my battery would have died by now. My friend suggested that it might be that the radio might not be directly connected to the battery (for when the car is off). What do you guys think?

Check the fuse for constant power for the radio. Does you cigarette lighter work? (same fuse). The stereo has an orange wire that supplies contant power to the stereo. This line is used for the stereo memory (stations and clock)

Ok, I'll check that. Funny you should mention the cigarette lighter, because that wasn't working either. Supposedly, my friend checked all the fuses and said they were all good, but I'll double check just to make sure. I'll also check the orange wire to make sure it is properly connected. Thanks for the speedy response!

If all the fuses test "ok", check this:

Some radios have a fuse in the rear of the radio, or in a small black box attached to one of the wires leading to the radio...

Do ya have a Voltmeter-tester-thingie?

Everyone has one. Stick out your tongue and touch it to the wire. If you nose lights up you have power. J/K I just had to respond to that one.

Yep, there are two wire in a separate harness that clips to the back of the radio. One is orange and one is brown. As Oreif said......that one should be "hot" all the time.
