I've been looking around at some past posts about shift kits, and have seen mention of Shift Kits for auto Fieros. I was wondering how hard of a job is this? Can it be done with the engine in the car. How long does it take?

Any help would be great!

Yes it can be done with the engine/trans in the car. Takes about 2 hours from start to finish. It's not hard. If you get the "Trans-Go" kit their instructs are very easy to follow.

Is it a simple bolt in replacement, I heard there is some drilling also?

The one I got "Mr. Shift" involves a complete tear down. You are supposed to reshim one item by the filter, but it also involves filling on the case halves. Yep to file a case half and drill a oil relief hole by the torque converter seal, you must completely dissassemble. If there are any other kits out there that are more simple, please let me know. ive used the "mr shift" kit. You only drill the hole by the converter seal if its out of the car. you can easily do the valve body while the trannys in the car. Also you need to drop the pan to "reshim" near the filter (it firms up 2nd gear band. no need to dissassemble
