I picked up a complete motor and transaxel on an engine dollie, Word has it a pont- Gran Am '86-'88, EFI 3.3. does this have any place in the Fiero's swap arena? I have looked back at previou post and not seen an article. I can trade it with a salvage dealer for a 3.4. So I won't be out anything. ................as always ....Critter

Boat anchor.

The 3.3(or 3300) is a destroked 3800, so it will require the same amount of work to install as a 3800 would. This asks the question.....why not just install a 3800?

Trade it for a 3.4 or a 3800 (if you want to take on such a swap).

ive heard of one person doing it, its a 3300, they normally run about 165 horserpower.

Agree with everything said above. Trade it for a 3.4...much easier swap......unless you can trade it for a 3800 gen II....but that's alot more work. I'd just swap it for the 3.4 and be happy with the extra HP and torque.
