Hey guys, can anyone out there tell me how to replace a door handle. Also, do you know if any of the door handles at the Help section of any autoparts store will fit.
If so, which one? Oh yeah, it is for the driver side of an 86SE, if that matters.

Outside handle I presume. Yes the ones at the help section will fit, just take the old one along with you. Pull the innerdoor panel off. Top left hand corner(from the inside) of the door, there is a little rod & clip that hooks to the door handle, Remove it. then there are two nuts holding the handle on. Take em off. Tight area to work in, but it's not more than an hours job at the worst.

Thanks a lot Maryjane but I just looked on the other side of the door pnel and I think what it needs is the rod and clip you are speaking of, does not seem to have it.
