No spark, but coil gets juice... by Mach10

It's all together, I double check everything, and hit the starter...

No spark...

I screamed so loud that the top of my head came off...

Everything is fine. Coil gets power, but no spark...

I switched out the coil for another I had in collection... This one looked a lot better, but still nothing...


So, what's the consensus? Ignition module, or Pickup coil? Both?

It's a 4100 - Olds hybrid distributer with vacuum advance.

Check for switching on the ground side of the coil . Have someone crank the car with a testlight hooked to the ground side of the coil. If the light doesn't flash its probably a module problem.

Got a new one, and it's running... Sort of...
