My 2M4 was missing the V5 compressor when we purchased it so I don't have the old switches. The local parts store wants to know the color of the the low pressure switch.
The choices are:
Grey, Purple, White, Red or Yellow
Do you know which color it is? I don't.

The switches also have different connector shapes. When I bought new switches couple of years ago, the new switches were "backwards"; that is, the new white switch had a connector like my old red switch, and vice versa.

You might want to crawl under another Fiero to verify that you are getting the correct switch.

The following instructions where contained in the box for the Murray pressure switches:

"The following supersessions have been made by GM:
1. Switch part # 35968, color-coded red - has been superseded to part # 35974 color-coded white. Both are identicla except for color and eithe red or white may be used.

2. Switch part # 35973, color coded blue may be either blue or green, both are identical except for color and either blue or green may be used."

Sooo, if one has a red and a white switch for the hi and low, they may in fact be using the same switch!

That switch (white) has been discontinued by gm. It controls the fan which is activated by turning on the ac anyway.
