My 88 Duke started to take more time to start. I have to crank it a little longer. It was tuned up about 8 months/8,000 miles ago. I don't hear the fuel pump run when I first turn the key and I've seen a post that says this is the fuel pump relay. That's a cheap enough fix, $8.87 from GMpartsdirect.com or twice that plus tax at the dealer. Is there anything else this could be in addition to this first fix? The car runs fine otherwise.

I had that problem on my 84 SE and replacing the relay didn't help. Turned out it was the ECM. Try changing the relay and see if it works.
