Just as I got my wife's car like mint (still all-original), some low-life came along and stole it! I'm in Northern Alabama. I have a picture, but don't have anywhere to host it (if someone can help me, I'll sure send it to you). Fresh maroon paint...beechwood interior, gold honeycomb rims, sunroof, 5-speed.
If anybody comes across any parts bearing VIN: 1GPG1190JP224749, please let me know. Long shot...but I had to put this out. My wife is crushed. If it had been any car but that one...take my Cavalier, take my Camaro...but don't take my wife's Fiero.
It used to bear AL Tag# 47 B4C 90, but I'm sure that's gone. If anybody in the Alabama/Tennessee area sees it, please call me at (256) 722-0799.
What a sad day...
Any advice? Of course, a report has been filed, and I have checked with the local towing companies for the county/city...nothing helpful there... Bummer.

The forum can host the pics with PIP. If you like, email them to me and I'll post them for you.
I'll be keeping a lookout. Here's hoping they just take it for a joyride and it's found soon - unless we can find them in the act and give them some good old fashioned justice, Alabama style.

Thanks! Pic is on the way. It looks JUST like the picture, only it has a sunroof...and I have raised lettering (yuck) on the front two tires (Goodyear subdued on the back). One good thing...he'll have a heck of a time if he has a flat. No key to unlock the lock-lug.
Alabama Justice isn't good enough for people who steal Fieros. I just had that thing so my wife could be really proud of it and enjoy driving it again, and now she is broken hearted. I pity the fool...if he's every caught.

You have a color for us to at least keep an eye out? The Fiero Factory swap meet is coming up, so lots of fiero-ites in northern Alabama...they should get noticed if they're driving it or even trying to part it out! Hopefully somebody spots it. I have a good eye for Fieros, GTs especially!

Probably not much consolation, but having hung around the Fiero community for near 5 years, a stolen Fiero is almost always a recovered Fiero. There is no resale, not worth trying to sell. Not worth stealing to resale the parts. I'd say 9 out of 10 times, its just kids out looking for something sporty for the afternoon. At the end of the day they ditch it, with most damage being interior stuff as they steal the stereo, speakers, amps, etc. Usually the deck is punched out too to see whats in the trunk.
I wouldn't be surprised if its recovered within 7 days.

Thanks to everybody. I have Ed in the loop...he does all our maintenance (for almost ten years), and he has his eyes as open as mine are.
Sort-of a break in the case: My wife & I were down south (the beach) last weekend. When we came in late Sunday night (Easter Sunday), we saw that "MADISON COUNTY" had tried to call us four times during the 5 o'clock hour early Easter Sunday morning. We called the number back...and found it to be the dispatch office for the Madison County Sheriff's Department. Ironic?
They had no record of ever calling us, and all of our family was safe. BUT...our investigator tracked the calls down to a County Sergeant. Unfortunately...the Sergeant is on vacation until next week, so we'll have to wait.
I think that the Sheriff's office calling my house four times at 5 o'clock in the morning Easter Sunday Morning is too coincidental...I think someone in law enforcement has seen our car...and before we knew it was stolen.
What do ya'll think of that!? Weird.
No...no security. But if I ever get her back, you better believe I'll buy a lo-jack. Any other reputable tracking devices? To stop my wife's tears sure makes it worth throwing some money into the problem.
Scott
