Hi all,
Thanks for all the info regarding Oil pan removal. Well now that the pan is off, how can I tell what size bearing was in there?? I looked at the bottom side of the bearing for size(Std, -10 etc) and all it says is:
GM
AL-6
4 89
The reverse bottom says:
B 9

Does any one know what this means? I have std sizes already, should I take them back or are they going to work?

Thanks.

I'd get a Haynes manual or something similar and a caliper and check that the journal has not been machined. If you have an accurate caliper its a sure way to check and pretty easy too. I have no idea if that part# will help you. A good manual will give the stock journal sizes.
