Sorry this is not a Fiero question, but only this forum can help.

My daughter has a Neon and had a spark plug blow out of the engine. The hole is not pluged but the threads are stripped. Is there anything that can be done?

thanx

Not sure here, but a friend of mine has a Neon. What a peice of garbage, no offense, but every time I work on it I just cry how POORLY the car is built.

I have a friend with 2 he loves them so much, one is a 96 and one is a 97 he drives like an old granny.

In the years he has owned the cars (both have less than 60K miles

Head gasgets on each, vales seals on one, transmission replaced on one, replaced those damn leaky plug oil tubes like 6 times.

Not to mention both cars have been stolen twice.

Yup , It can be heli coiled to repair the sparkplug hole. Really should remove the head to do it , but if your real careful it can be done on the car. Vacuum out the cylinder after the reaming and coil insert, using a piece of vacuum hose attached to a shop vac.that fits through the sparkpug hole.
But this all assumes eveything is accessable to performe the task on the car.
