You need to change the crystal. I know someone will have detailed instructions on how to do this for places like IRM and such have been doing it for their gauge conversions. Just take out the 6.33 MHz crystal and put in a 4.43 MHz one. You can get the parts at a place like radio shack and it shouldn't run you more than $5.

Thanks for the info, but now I need to know what to ask the guys at Radio Shack for. Do I just say I need a 4.43 MHz crystal? Do they need more info than that?

I'm doing my own faces, and I don't think the 120 mph speedos are worth the freakin ridiculous prices people are charging for them. If I can get the info I'm looking for, I can do this for the price of the crystal.

Yeah, but you also get the higher RPM, wraparound tach when you change the whole cluster..

I already have that. I have an 86 SE with the wraparound 6500 RPM tach and the aux gauges from the factory. The only thing that is different from the GT is the speedo is 85 mph instead of 120. All I want to do is change out the crystal and put my own faces on them. I do not need or want a whole cluster just to get a 120 mph speedo.

It sounds like you have talked yourself into a speedo mod. If you walk into radio shack and ask for the crystal, chances are they won't have a clue what your talkling about, but that's normal.
The easiest thing to do is do a search on Google and you will probably find several online parts stores that will sell crystals. With shipping and handling you will still get out with less than what another Speedo costs.
Radish Rack stores are run by complete morons. They rarely know what is in the store. To know what Corporate actually offers, let alone what parts programs are available? That would be a miracle.
Corporate offers(offered?) almost anything by special order. (It's been years... I got tired of their . Stores in most areas are staffed by Mc Donald's rejects.) I'm surprised they are still in business.
If you are stuck with only a radish rack, read the print catalog. It has/had the info about the parts order program. When they tell you they can't order a part shove the rag in their face. If they still give you crap then PLEASE file complaints with the BBB and your state AG for false advertising.

Ok heres my deal. I just figured out how to get the wraparound tach on my duke. Problem is I lost the volt gauge (84) I DO have the rally gauges sittin in my shed though. Is there a way that I can install these and splice into a few wires to get the volt gauge to read from the aux gauges? OR am I stuck without it??? Anyone??

Radio Shack has them on their website for $1.55 each. I'll get a few. I now need to know how you guys are replacing the faces and still getting the backlighting to work. I haven't opened mine up yet, so I don't know what the originals look like. Do I replace the whole face with a piece of clear acrylic or something like that??

OR, specificially, what wires going into the gauge cluster power the volt meter? This way, I'll just cut those, run an extension to the wires for the volt on the aux guage. Will that work?
